The newly renovated bathroom consists of shower, toilet and sink. Steps from the french doors is a delightful patio with teak table and chairs, and umbrella for shade. A separate gazebo/sitting room with comfy couch and chairs for lounging and relaxing with a book and a glass of wine is only steps away. Lights can be turned on for night time. There is also a gas barbecue to cook your alfresco dinners. If you're thinking of a beach picnic I provide a cooler and Turkish towels. The attached master bathroom features double sinks, a bathtub and shower, and a large mirrored vanity. The Nest room is a warm and welcoming space that takes its inspiration from the 40+ species of birds that migrate through the area – many of which can be viewed from the house’s wrap-around deck. A restorative break from your life. This is an excellent choice. People come from all over the world to experience the Pacific Coast specifically the Monterey Bay area. It is an area rich in history. Here you will find world class art, music, cuisine, golf, surfing, sightseeing, hiking, biking, sunbathing, whale watching, birding, fishing, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and so much more. You can spend the day engaged in a variety of activities, physical and/or cultural. However you spend your day you can return home to a mountain cottage and quiet. Looking south from inside the cottage is the largest window which affords the incredible view of the Pajaro Valley. The queen size bed is placed so you can enjoy gazing out upon the fertile valley while lying in bed. Some mornings the fog lays down so perfectly one can feel wonderfully alone looking out at the sea of soft white. Sunsets are often remarkably beautiful. Sit on the front deck in an Adirondack chair with a cup of tea or glass of wine and enjoy creation. In the morning and evenings you can sit and watch and listen to the Mourning Doves, Band Tailed Pigeons, Oregon Juncos, Stellars and Scrub Jays, Hummingbirds, Hawks and Ravens. Just inside the big window there is a delicious couch and a loveseat that provide comfortable viewing from inside the cottage. The couch is large enough for a fine nap. It is also a great place to snug down with a book or magazine or some knitting. The gas heater stove is particularly cozy on a cool day. There is a piano inside. please play. The cottage is fully equipped with a kitchen including a reproduction antique stove and small refrigerator. It has a newly installed bamboo floor. One can enjoy their breakfast with a breath taking view. An excellent stock of tea is in the kitchen are for your enjoyment. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. Bedding and fresh linens are provided. The cottage is heated with a natural gas stove. There is an oil heater for extra chilly nights. There is plenty of open space inside to accommodate several people practicing yoga at the same time. And it is quiet enough for meditation. The hot tub is located down steps from the cottage. There is complete privacy and the hot tub is not shared. The cottage is not handicap accessible. We find many of our guests are looking for peace and quiet in their busy lives. It can be found here. Occasionly the guests spend many days resting, reading, etc. inside the cottage or on the beautiful deck that looks out to Pajaro Valley. The weather here is excellent. It is located in a micro climate called a banana belt. Though the beach is only 25 minutes away we are often in the sun when our neighbors in the valley and on the coast are in the fog. Winters are mild we average 25' of rainfall a year. Summers can be warm but delightful. The fog rolling in at night is nature's air conditioner and everything cools down. The weather is nearly perfect. Fog burns off early enough to make the beaches comfortable all day. The Santa Cruz Mountains are home to Sequoia Sempervirens commonly known as a Redwood Tree. They are native only to a specific part of Pacific Coast region. Come and visit our amazing part of the world and experience something special about the California Coast.

Our on-site Property Manager can provide you with any area information or basic concierge services. The property is within a mile of Mt. Madonna Yoga Center and School, as well as The Vietnamese Sangha Congregation (Kim Son). Living Room Welcome to our sun drenched living room here at Entelechy Ranch. This room stuns, complete with dominant views of the pool and the surrounding Redwood Forest. The double-high ceiling living area with an open floor plan allows for lots of light to shine in and plenty of room for you to relax. Here you will find seating for 6 in a luxurious microfiber sofa set where 5 of the 6 seats are recliners. The living room features a cozy pellet stove (pellets provided) for snuggling up in front of, especially on those chilly fog drenched mornings. A mobile 55” ROKU television will keep you entertained or can be rolled away for a more disconnected experience. A classic Victrola radio / record player that can accept all audio formats (including Bluetooth connectivity) reminds you of classic entertainment from yesteryear. Both end tables in this room conceal hidden power strips to charge your devices incognito. Visit Board Games Blvd for an extensive inventory of attractively analog board games including Scrabble, Life, Connect 4, Tic Tac Toe, Jenga, Cards Against Humanity, and about any other board or card game you (or your parents) can think of. Kitchen / Dining The kitchen / dining room is a culinary artist's dream. With miles of usable counter space and an “in the round” design layout, you and your guests can express your inner chef while cooking up something amazing. The kitchen houses all of the necessary appliances. These include a microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, 4 burner gas range, dishwasher, full size refrigerator, and a professional convection oven. All of the necessary cooking utensils are available. Including pots, pans, baking sheets, glass bowls, spoons, spatulas, tongs etc. are provided. Most importantly coffee is served. The kitchen houses a Krups coffee maker that also has an attached cappuccino maker. Assorted K-Cups are provided (rotating selection) as well as a coffee bean grinder and reusable K-Cup filter. A walk-in pantry provides ample space for all of your local culinary discoveries. The dining area, with its luxurious “live-edge” dining table, can seat up to 8 people and allows for simple service just steps away from the kitchen. The dining area ties the whole floor together. Thus serving as a nexus for conversation throughout the living, kitchen, and dining rooms. A water cooler providing bottled cold and hot water is tucked away in the corner for easy access. Downstairs Bedroom The first floor bedroom has 2 large bunk style beds providing sleeping accommodations for 4 or 6 guests depending on your sleeping arrangement. Sit, relax, and gaze out the window at the trees on either the futon or hyper comfortable lounger - complete with ottoman. Soft walled dressers are available, as well as 2 huge mirrored closets to complete the room. First Floor Bathroom The first floor bathroom (a luxury addition to the house) houses a glass walk-in shower, mirrored vanity, and plenty of towels to dry off after a rigorous visit to the hot tub. Second Floor Bedroom The second floor bedroom (aka Tree House) sits high up in the tree canopy and is perfect for families with small children (or adult sized children). This bedroom consists of 2 twin beds and one full sized bed in a bunk style layout. A large mirrored closet creates the illusion of being surrounded by Redwoods up in the canopy. This room houses a separately controlled in-floor heater for those looking for a “different” level of climate control from the rest of the house. Master Bedroom The Master Bedroom at Entelechy Ranch provides the ultimate in California luxury living. A huge layout complete with a queen sized bed, full size dresser, office desk, 50” ROKU tv, leather lounger, and convertible futon couch are provided. A mobile device charging table has been provided in this bedroom with micro usb, lightning, and usb-c cables to top off all your mobile devices.There is a massive walk in shower, his and hers vanity sink, and a pristine claw foot tub that serves up a sweeping view directly into the Redwood forest. A separately controlled heater in the master bathroom allows for an even more luxurious experience. A gigantic walk in closet provides more than enough room for your luggage as well as housing a “spare” twin bed and frame for that occasional custom sleeping arrangement. You will find the portable crib and baby bassinet in this closet. Laundry Room A full size washer and dryer are available in the laundry room, just off of the kitchen. Here you will find spare towels, wash cloths, and bed clothes just in case you need an extra. Located in the tall cabinet to the left you will find a broom, mop, and floor cleaning swiffer type mop for any accidental spills. Easter Egg - Use the laundry shoot located in the master bedroom closet to easily transfer dirty laundry to this washroom. In-ground Pool The pool at Entelechy Ranch elevates your Mt. Madonna experience to an even higher level. The pool is heated to approx 78 degrees from April to November (heaters are run manually by caretaker during your visit). It’s a kidney bean shape with a large shallow end (<3 feet) and a smaller deep end that goes to about 10 feet deep. There is a diving board, but please use extreme caution while diving. A safety buoy and rescue hook hang directly behind the diving board just in case. Please note, the pool is not heated in the winter and can be quite chilly during winter months, but we ask you to use your own personal discretion. Hot Tub There is a stand alone hot tub located just behind the house that sits up on a covered platform deck. This Essential hot tub has seating for 4 and is a therapeutic model designed to heal and revive. The hot tub platform has night time outdoor lighting and offers a weatherized sound system to provide you with some tunes for your therapeutic session. There is a small hot shower and short garden hose to provide a rinse before and after your soak. Please note - our hot tub is cleaned and treated before each rental for the health and safety of our guests. Outdoor Activities Here at Entelechy Ranch on Mt. Madonna we offer many outdoor activities in our park like setting. The property encompasses over 5 acres of Redwood forest and grass covered pasture lands for you to explore and relax within. A perimeter hiking trail meanders around the property providing you an opportunity to acclimate yourself to our incredible environment. For starters there is a 3 hole frisbee golf course that traverses between sun drenched pasture and Redwood tree filled glades. Frisbee golf disks are provided, located on the fence (disk rack) adjacent to the pasture entrance. There is a regulation horseshoe pit located next to the barn and chicken coop, complete with regulation horseshoes. Also located near the horseshoe pits is our very popular fire-pit. The fire-pit is quite large, sits in a safe and controlled environment, and offers 6 large oak tree rounds for seating. Firewood available upon request. Say hello to our dozen chickens that live in their coop located on the north side of the barn. Please feel free to collect as many eggs as you like. Lastly, we offer a variable skill archery course. We have an introductory level bow and arrow set (both left and right handed) hanging on the pasture fence by the Archery firing position. Use of the archery course may require a basic skill and safety explanation offered by our on site Caretaker. Note : Caretaker lives on the lower quarter of the property about 250 feet from main house, area is sectioned off, please be respectful. Caretaker is available for major repairs or emergencies.

We take the rules very seriously, if rules are broken, we charge and in some instances will ask campers to leave with no refund. This is a leave no trace campsite. If you leave a trace, we must charge for our time to resolve this. Our goal is to have a breathtakingly beautiful campground for each camper to enjoy when they arrive so this means leave no trace. If you call me prior to your arrival and we understand each other, we will leave the campground completely to yourself with no interruptions. Camp Rules: 1. You must bring any and all wood you burn. do not gather fallen branches etc. Do not help yourself to the wood on the property. No wood from under the pizza oven, no split wood on the property and no sticks collected on the property. If you need wood we charge $20.00 per box and we will leave it in the parking lot prior to your arrival - you can add this on as an "extra" when you book. The fire must be attended at all times, no exception. The fire department requires all embers be completely extinguished with water. If embers are left in the morning they issue steep fines. 2. Usually we provide water but if we can’t the only water on the property comes from the creek. You are free to use it but it must be boiled or filtered before use. 3. Leave all of your waste in a Sealed plastic bags in the parking lot when you leave. Separate recycled from non recycled trash. 4. If you use the BBQ or wood burning stove, clean the ashes out and leave it as you found it. 5. Leave everything as you found it. 6. We ask that you keep on the path system at all times to protect the delicate plants. If you have children or pets please understand they have a very hard impact on the property and usually we find plant damage and pet droppings - this leads to losing the cleaning deposit. 8. There is no smoking permitted anywhere on the property. If you smoke don’t book with us because if you are smoking anything on the property you will be asked to leave at once. No exception, no second chance. All these rules ensure everyone has a wonderful experience. So they also protect and ensure you will find camp a beautiful and very special place. A world class Aquarium with a stunning display of jelly fish and other amazing sea creatures. The Space: Welcome you are a Tentrr client. Tentrr has provided a beautiful private campsite on a special property that is quite beautiful adjacent to Brown's creek. The campsite is separate from the rest of the park. Please use your campsite only. The rest of the park is privately owned. Guest Access: This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with farmers, ranchers, and other property owners to offer unique outdoor accommodations on beautiful private land. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise. Each campsite includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed inside (each site is different, see photos for the exact setup). Larger groups can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided (you’re welcome to bring your own camping gear too). You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. What you should bring: -S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat -A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling -Bedding and pillows -Lanterns and lighting -Firewood for the campfire -Water Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set! Occupancy: Max occupancy refers to the total number of campers allowed at the site during your reservation. We welcome campers with larger parties, but you may need to bring extra camping gear of your own in addition to the tent that is already provided. Please plan accordingly. Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry! Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days. Tentrr Extras: These are other amenities, services, or activities that may be provided by your CampKeeper for an additional fee. Please let us know in advance if you'd like to add these to your booking so that we can process payment. Availability of any Extras are not guaranteed and must be confirmed at least 24 hours prior to check-in. Pizza Oven - $200 The pizza oven takes 3 - 4 hours to reach 700 degrees. This comes with all necessary tools. Instruction on how to fire it and all wood necessary to have a pizza event. Fire wood - $20 $20.00 per cubic foot. Will be delivered to the parking area. Other Things to Note: Directly after crossing Browns Creek, located 2.1 miles from the Corralitos junction and Corralitos Meat Market, you will see a white sign with the word FROM on your right. This is the Tentrr parking spot. There will be a sign hanging on a yellow rope that says Private Property. At both ends of the rope are clips that will allow you to proceed. At the back of the parking area there is a foot trail leading to a creekside trail. If at night, you will need a bright flashlight. Bear left and follow the path to the creek crossing. There are five stairs leading to the right. Once on the other side of the creek, follow the trail system to the right. There is a two minute walk through the forest to your campsite. Camp Rules: 1. You must bring any and all wood you burn. do not gather fallen branches etc. Do not help yourself to the wood on the property. No wood from under the pizza oven, no split wood on the property and no sticks collected on the property. The fire must be attended at all times, no exception. The fire department requires all embers be completely extinguished with water. If embers are left in the morning they issue steep fines. 2.The only water on the property comes from the creek. You are free to use it but it must be boiled or filtered before use. 3. Leave all of your waste in a sealed plastic bag in the parking lot when you leave. 4. If you use the BBQ or wood burning stove, clean the ashes out and leave it as you found it. 5. Leave everything as you found it. 6. We ask that you keep on the path system at all times to protect the delicate plants. 8. There is no smoking permitted anywhere on the property.

While the beach is not private, the access is primarily from Pajaro Dunes houses and condominiums. Because of the limited access the beach is never crowded and on some days you will be the only one there. A truly unique vacation spot on the Monterey Bay. Pelican 51 is our private vacation home that we like to share with others. We only ask that our guests treat our vacation home as they would their own.
